We use whole wheat pastas and brown rice unless you request white. Brown rice adds about 30 more minutes of hands off cooking time. Personally I feel that the flavor and health benefits are well worth the wait. If you know that you will have a time constraint, then request white basmati rice in the order notes. If you prefer white pasta, then please note that in the order notes too.
